Our leather has a rich pull-up and a soft flesh side. We procure our leather is a domestic tannery and specialize in vegetable tanned leathers, hot stuffed it with waxes and oils yielding a leather which is made for life. The polished surface easily scratches and scuffs but also easily buffs, which all leads to a nice patina.

Our leather is full grain and is much BETTER than the top grain and genuine or bonded leather. Full grain is the most premium and durable cut you can buy. It's the only cut that contains unique markings and scars, making it highly sought after.

Midori-style, Traveler's Notebook system. Perfect for your bullet journals. Full grain fibers run more vertically than other leathers, resulting in superior strength and may hold up to 100 years of use if properly maintained.

We use leather from only North American cattle that has been professionally vegetable tanned right here in the USA. The tanning process includes a hot stuffing with waxes and oils, making it smooth, soft and beautiful.

This is durable leather with rich patinas which better with age.

We hand cut the leather from large hides.
Each piece is unique with different markings.

Here is a glimpse into our process into your unique piece:

- We carefully punch the holes for the binding.
- We trim and burnish the edges by hand, compressing and binding the leather fibers.
- We apply a quality edge finish that gives long lasting protection and a smooth feel.
- We hand sew the strong elastic cord and properly tension it.
- We engrave your name or logo on the front cover if desired.
- We package your journal in a nice cotton drawstring bag.

Often times, journal makers won't use thick leather like ours, because it requires these extra steps. But once you get ahold of our thick leather journal that's well formed and finished, you'll never go back to the ones that only last a year or two.

Dimensions:

The Pocket is designed and strung for 4 inserts sized 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Field Notes size).

The Pocket PLUS has 1" of additional leather added to the width and is punched and strung for 6 strings.

Of course you can add more as you like! So far, 11 (almost 12) is the record.
